Pricing — Scoped, not menu-priced
We price around the problem, not a menu.
No two builds are the same, so we don't publish fixed tiers that would overcharge a small job or understate a complex one. Every engagement is scoped to what it actually needs — and you get the price in writing before any work starts.
Engagement models
Four ways to work with us. Each is priced to fit the shape of the work — once, or per month against an agreed level of effort.
-
01
Fixed-scope build
For a defined project with clear boundaries — a new application, an e-commerce store, a content site, or a self-contained feature. We agree the scope, deliverables, and a fixed price up front, so there are no surprises at the end.
You get A written scope, an agreed timeline, the built & tested product, and a clean handover.
Typical timeline 4–8 weeks for most builds; smaller features ship faster.
-
02
Retainer
For teams that need ongoing development capacity without hiring in-house — continuous feature work, maintenance, and a partner who already knows the codebase.
You get A reserved block of senior engineering time each month, prioritized however you choose, with async communication and predictable monthly billing.
Typical commitment Monthly, with a three-month minimum so we can plan around your roadmap.
-
03
Audit
For a second opinion on something you already have — a codebase, a live site, or a launch you're unsure about. We review and report; we don't touch anything without your sign-off.
You get A written report with prioritized, actionable findings across performance, security, code health, and SEO/GEO. You decide what to fix; we can quote the fixes separately.
Typical timeline 1–2 weeks depending on the size of the system.
-
04
Post-launch support
For keeping a shipped product healthy. We don't disappear at deploy time.
You get Monitoring, dependency and security updates, bug fixes, and incremental feature work — available as its own plan or bundled into a retainer, sized to the product.
What drives cost
- 01
Scope
How much there is to build, and how well-defined it is going in. Tight, clear scope is cheaper than open-ended discovery.
- 02
Stack & integrations
A standalone app costs less than one wired into payments, ERPs, third-party APIs, or legacy systems.
- 03
Timeline
A compressed deadline costs more than a comfortable one, because it changes how we staff the work.
- 04
Ongoing vs one-off
A single build is priced once; a retainer or support plan is priced per month against an agreed level of effort.
Who we're the right fit for
Founders, agencies, and SMBs who want production-grade software they can rely on — not the cheapest possible draft. We take on full builds, ongoing partnerships, and audits.
One-off micro-tasks — a single plugin tweak, a five-minute CSS change. For work like that, a freelancer marketplace will serve you better and faster.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a project with obalaban cost?
We don't publish fixed prices, because every project is scoped to what it actually needs — a small feature build and a full e-commerce platform are not the same number. After a short scoping conversation we send a written proposal with the scope, timeline, and a fixed price, so you know the cost before any work begins.
Do you have a minimum project size?
We focus on full builds, ongoing retainers, and audits rather than one-off micro-tasks. If you need a single small tweak, a freelancer marketplace will usually serve you faster; if you need production-grade software built or maintained properly, that's exactly what we do.
How long does a typical project take?
It depends on scope, but as a rough guide: audits run 1–2 weeks, and most fixed-scope builds land in 4–8 weeks. Tightly defined features ship faster; large applications with many integrations take longer. We commit to a specific timeline in the written proposal.
Do you charge a fixed price or by the hour?
Both, depending on the work. Fixed-scope builds are quoted as a single fixed price so you carry no overrun risk. Ongoing work (retainers and support) is priced monthly against an agreed level of effort. We confirm which model applies before starting.
